DMCA COPYRIGHT POLICY

Marylyn Svetlik respects intellectual property and expects readers to do the same. We act quickly on valid copyright complaints and we remove material first when a claim looks credible. This page explains exactly how a notice moves through our desk.

How to file a notice

Email [email protected] with the subject line DMCA NOTICE. Include the exact URL of the material on our site, a description of the copyrighted work you own, proof of your ownership or authority, and your name, address, phone, and email. Anonymous reports without evidence cannot be processed.

What happens next

We review every complete notice within three business days. If the claim holds, we take the material down first and sort out the rest afterward. We will tell you what we removed and give the uploader a chance to respond.

Counter notices

If your material was removed by mistake, you may file a counter notice with your name, address, a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts, and a good-faith claim that the removal was wrong. We may restore the material ten business days after a valid counter notice unless the original complainant files a court action.

Questions about this policy can go to the same address, and we will answer within one business day. For everything else, start from our contact page or read the terms of service.
